Abbas’ advisor accuses Israeli PM of having “created, fed, and funded” the Fatah-Hamas rift
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: "[Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu derived benefit from [Oct. 7, 2023] and exploited it to carry out this plot. He attempted to eliminate the Palestinian cause in the past through the [Hamas-Fatah]rift. The rift that he created, fed, and funded, and he himself transferred money to it so that it would continue."

Note that Hamas' takeover of the Gaza Strip happened in 2007 while Netanyahu only assumed office in 2009.
